5:45 PM to 8 PM
Join us as we celebrate the 400th Anniversary of Galileo Galilei’s amazing achievements! Learn about his triumphs and tragedy and look through a telescope similar to the one that Galileo used, and see the universe as he saw it 400 years ago this month. Call the Park Office at (828) 652-5047 for program registration. We will meet at 5:45 P.M. at the park office. Be aware that we lock the park gates at 6:00 P.M. SHARP, and they will be locked for the duration of the program. There will be both indoor and outdoor components to this program so please dress in warm clothes. We will also be raffling off some goodies, so don’t miss out!
