The Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education offers various regular education programs on a daily basis. Group programs and School Programs can also be scheduled. The center contains a auditorium, exhibit gallery and gift store. The exhibit area focuses on the natural and cultural history associated with northeastern North Carolina. An extensive antique decoy collection is also housed inside the gallery.

Mission
To increase awareness and understanding of natural resources, build an appreciation of the outdoors and develop stewardship of North Carolina’s wildlife and associated habitats.

Cost of Programs/Admission
FREE Admission to the Center. Participation in educational programs is also FREE. Pre-registration is required for educational programs.

Features
The facility is located on Currituck Sound adjacent to the historic Whalehead Club and Currituck Beach Lighthouse.

Accessibility
The entire building is handicap-accessible.
