What an outdoor classroom! The pocosin forests, broad bays, estuaries, creeks, wetlands and shores around the Center provide an optimal outdoor learning area for environmental education. It’s hard to tell where education ends and fun begins at the Eastern 4-H Center! There’s so much to do and such a wonderful place to do it all. The bay, rivers, creeks and pool offer outstanding aquatic opportunities.

The Center is open for user-groups year round. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information about the facility or to schedule a tour, please call (252)797-4800.

Directions
The Eastern 4-H Center is located about 7 miles west of Columbia, North Carolina. From Highway 64, use Exit 562-Travis Road. Turn North (NW) onto Travis Road/Bay Post Office Road, travel 3 miles. At the stop sign, turn RIGHT on Albemarle Church Road. Travel approximately 1.5 miles to Bulls Bay Road. Turn LEFT on Bulls Bay Road, the Eastern 4-H Center's entrance is on the LEFT.

Mission
The mission of the Eastern 4-H Environmental Education Center is to provide year round training and educational programs for youth, community groups, business, corporations, and university students and faculty. Center programs are designed to motivate and serve as a laboratory for innovative and effective educational approaches that stimulate personal, community, and economic growth.

From youth camps and field trips, meetings and conferences, to banquets and receptions; our exceptional facility, beautiful setting, recreational opportunities and highly qualified staff are here to help you "make the best better". Design and implement your own program with your materials and staff, or let us help you with planning, materials, and expert instructors. This state-of-the-art facility also offers climate-controlled accommodations with private showers and flush toilets. While the outdoors provides an optimal background for education and recreation, meeting facilities and on-site amenities make experiences enjoyable in any season. Considered as "Roughing it, Smoothly".
