Green Invaders Video

Volunteers working to preserve the nature trail at Selwyn Elementary School in Charlotte, NC found out that not all green is good. They were shocked to learn that the greatest threat to their trail’s native beauty was neither pollution nor development, but invasive exotic plants. These out-of-control plants devastate ecosystems worldwide, cost the American taxpayer billions of dollars a year and contribute to the acceleration of species extinction. In response, Selwyn volunteers mustered a group of parent professionals and regional environmental experts to produce this informative and entertaining 9-minute video. Appropriate for all ages, Green Invaders exposes the invasive plant problem and empowers each viewer to make a difference.
